SECADA is central intake for the Cities of Dandenong, Casey, Cardinia. It is a consortium of MonashHealth, Odyssey House, Windana, EACH, Anglicare, YSAS and Taskforce. SECADA works with the individual in reaching their goals in managing their addiction.

SalvoCare Eastern

The Frankston and Rosebud Crisis Centres are entry points for individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. These Centres provide assessment, information, advocacy and referral to a range of accommodation and housing services. They can help navigate services and link in with services such as family violence, drug and alcohol, health and mental health, legal, financial, employment, education and training.

Bayside Alcohol and Drug Services (BayAOD)

BayAOD provides residential and community based withdrawal and recovery services. They are also work with friends and family to assist in supporting a loved one. The catchment includes the Cities of Port Phillip, Stonnington, Glen Eira, Kingston and Bayside.

Frankston and Mornington Drug and Alcohol Service (FaMDAS)

FaMDAS is the Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula’s central Intake centre in partnership with Peninsula Health. The offer three main services: Non-residential Withdrawal – assistance with managing withdrawal symptoms in coordination with the person’s GP, Counselling – individual or family counselling services and support with legal issues related to AOD use, Care Coordination – coordinating treatment pathways for complex clients to achieve positive outcomes.

Stepping Up Consortium

Stepping Up provides Alcohol and Drug counselling services in Frankston and Mornington Peninsula as well as Barwon, Melton and Werribee areas. Services are tailored to client needs and consider complex factors of mental health, relationships and family, employment and legal issues as well as transition into life without substance misuse. The service is for those age 16 and over who experience substance misuse and concerned family and friends.

Youth Community Mental Health Team

The Youth Community Mental Health team work with clients experiencing mental illness and/or dual drug and alcohol problems. Youth must be aged 16 to 25 years old in the Peninsula Health catchment area excluding the area between Carrum and Mordialloc (serviced by Alfred CYMHS).

Older Wiser Lifestyle (OWL)

The OWL program provides support, counselling and education for adults over 55. The program encourages better health and wellbeing, drug and alcohol education as well as managing life stage changes.

SHARPS (Southern Hepatitis/HIV/AIDS Referral & Prevention Service)

This is a Needle Syringe Program with after hours Outreach. They provide a safe environment and free paraphernalia to encourage good health and safety practices. There is also a pick up and disposal service in Frankston and Hastings.

Bunjilwarra

Bunjilwarra is a colloration between Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) and Youth Support and Advocacy Service (YSAS) for young Aboriginal people aged 16-25 years. It is a 12 bed voluntary AOD residential rehabilitation and healing facility.

Action for Recovery Course (ARC) – Carnegie

The course is for families affected by addiction. Topics covered include the cycle of addiction, defining boundaries, guilt and worry, praise and acceptance, choices, and the future. Courses runs for 6 weeks with each session lasting 2 hours.
